PROGRESSIVE RECYCLING SINCE 1891

 

Celebrating our 131st anniversary this year, The Joseph Freedman Company, Inc., was founded in 1891 in Springfield, MA by Joseph Freedman, great grandfather of the current company president, John D. Freedman. The company has built a reputation for integrity, transparency and continually promoting best practices across all of its business platforms. JFC is a processor of aluminum/copper radiators, ACSR and aluminum cable and operates non-ferrous, ferrous and aerospace metal divisions. The company purchases chopping products from dealers and brokers throughout North America and internationally, services industry throughout New England directly with its trucking division and ships both domestic and export grades by CSX rail and common carrier. JFC offers custom collection designed services and certified parts destruction.

The Joseph Freedman Co. operates two Springfield, Massachusetts facilities on over 20 acres: headquarters on Stevens Street include a 120,000 sq. ft. indoor ferrous & non-ferrous facility, as well as our 60,000 sq. ft. chopping operation on Albany Street.
